So what is Interoception?
Interoception is the ability to be fully present to and sense and feel sensations in the body.
We can move through life or a yoga practice with our attention outwards or we can practice from an inner awareness of how we are relating to the world via our soma.
How are we moving, being, thinking, talking, and what are our habitual ways of doing things?
When we deeply sense and feel these patterns, we have the opportunity to change them.
Since our muscles and movement patterns are under the control of the brain, we learn that devoted attention of our brains to how and what we are doing, replaces old and unsupportive patterns with new ones.
This is what we call Somatic Learning.
SomaYoga & Interoception
The practice of SomaYoga builds the skills of Interoception to regain the brain’s control over unconscious movement and breathing patterns. Learning how to move deliberately and with full and present awareness will take your yoga practice from ineffectual to transformational.
And who doesn’t want that?

We will be holding two professional trainings in Toronto this fall, and we would love for you to join us.
And we’d love it if you would tell a friend.
