SomaYoga blends Thomas Hanna’s Somatics with therapeutic yoga. It helps us regain control over our muscles and movement patterns, supporting easeful, functional movement. This allows us to move better and more intelligently in our bodies, supporting our yoga postures and breathing practices.
In this series learn about 3 main reflexes that show up in the body, due to stress, repetitive movement, trauma or injury and improve function to support your favourite sports or hobbies in life.
If you are experiencing recurrent pain and tension, lingering problems or a ready to learn a new approach to movement re-education, then this series is for you. Bring awareness to what has been forgotten, change the patterns that perpetuate pain so that you can move through life with more ease.
What you will learn:
How to re-educate your muscles, releasing tension and pain.
That your muscles only listen to your brain.
That your Somatic Nervous System is what holds you in patterns of tension and pain.
How to PANDICULATE versus Stretch.
All levels welcome. No experience necessary.
