Hi…I’m Carrie Meyer and welcome!
I specialize in Somatic Movement Therapy: regaining the brain’s control over muscles and movement patterns disrupted by stress, repetitive strain, injury, trauma or habituated ways of thinking and being.
The word Somatic comes from the Greek word “Soma” and means the living body in its wholeness.
I use Somatic Neuromuscular Re-education and other mind-body techniques to re-educate the nervous system.
When your body is in a state of crisis (chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, inflammation and pain), you might say that it is sounding a big warning bell, hoping to be noticed, hoping that you will make necessary changes to restore balance. That is what these practices offer.
Let me help you get on track to a pain-free and happy you.
I am excited to explore the possibilities with you. Please reach out and let me know how I can help.
Dedicated to your health and well-being,

Hi I’m Nicole Ablack-Ramkay and welcome!
I specialize in getting clients out of pain by getting to the root of the problem using Neuromuscular Re-education and other powerful mind-body techniques. If you are dealing with pain from an injury, pre or post surgery, have an illness or experience chronic pain then I can help.
I will teach you how to regain your brain’s control over muscles and movement patterns disrupted by stress, repetitive strain, injury, trauma or habituated ways of thinking and being.
What makes us somas is our ability to self correct, self regulate and self discern.
We are more than just bodies. We have spirits, emotions, beliefs systems and ways of thinking. And it is important to address all of these Kosha layers or layers of our being for healing.
I am excited to work with you to help you feel stronger, move better, have more energy ~ with no pain.
Please reach out and let me know how I can help.
Yours in health,
We find that since the word Somatic is so foreign to most, we must educate, time and time again, about what it is exactly that we offer, and what makes this work so unique.
The foundation of what we do is to help clients figure out where they are stuck and not moving well and get them back to moving well. This is how we distill our specialty down to the simplest explanation.
Together we skillfully discover bad habits, limiting beliefs, compensations of movement and patterns that are so deeply stuck in the nervous system, that they require active and deliberate involvement of the brain to change. The active, deliberate involvement of the brain reinforce new neural pathways, or reinforces forgotten ones to liberate us towards more freedom.
This brain-body connection, this learning is called Somatic Neuromuscular Re-education. And we use this as a starting point to working with our clients.
We believe that the body knows how to heal itself if it is given the right tools.
As therapist, we take our clients through a journey of self-discovery and healing where they learn what patterns keep the body/mind/spirit (Soma) in pain and tension. Clients learn how to undo those patterns and build new functional pain free movement, strength and flow into your body and lives.
